Remember the movie High Fidelity? Did you like it? Then you love lists, just like Martin Popoff, who felt that his favorite genre didn’t get its due. Popoff responses with this massive tome. Though albums are ranked on an ‘objective’ point-based scale, this book is full of bias and personality. Many of the cover images feature autographs of Popoff’s hard rock heroes. Y&T’s Black Tiger ranks No. 500 with a measly 120 points. I won’t ruin the surprise by saying who’s No. 1 with 6,585. Ah, screw it. It’s Metallica’s Master of Puppets. Buy the book, and find out who’s No. 2. Shoulda been a hardcover.
