Hour reviews Wild Thing

Harrison's second novel is a hard-boiled murder mystery that finds Eddie Dancer, the tough but fair private eye, in England helping out a doctor friend, Peter Maurice, who's been accused of multiple murder/mutilations. Maurice, on a book tour in Great Britain, purchased a rare manuscript by Franz Anton Mezmer smuggled out of Germany by Mezmer's great-great granddaughter, the first of many who die at the hands of a fiendish serial killer. Humorous and intriguing, Wild Thing is a delightful page-turner as rich with suspense as it is with polished prose.
