410 Media's David Baker posted a review of Steve Stanton's The Bloodlight Chronicles: Retribution on their website on February 7, 2012. Baker wrote that "so often authors in this genre focus so much on the gee whiz setting that they forget that the characters need to be developed. Stanton doesn’t fall in this trap. His characters act like real people."
