Congratulations go out to Tony Burgess who has been shortlisted for the 25th Annual Trillium Book Award! Tony is nominated for Idaho Winter, which Brian Bethune of Maclean's Magazine called "one the finest parodies ever penned of the stereotypically didactic young adult (YA) novel," in a review from June, 2011.
The Trillium shortlist was revelaed yesterday afternoon, and the winners will be announced on June 20, 2012.
Tony has also authored The Hellmouths of Bewdley, Pontypool Changes Everything, Caesarea, and Fiction for Lovers, which won the ReLit Award. In 2008, acclaimed director Bruce McDonald adapted Pontypool into film and Tony was nominated for a Genie Award, and won a Chlotrudis Award, for best adapted screenplay.
