In order to write the truth about the underground world of performance enhancing drugs you have to abandon any hope of coming away with any friends.
Roberts has always held the truth as his biggest commodity and as a result made lots of enemies in the process. In the end the reader gets an unparalleled look into the little understood world of anabolic steroid trade and use.
Unlike many other would-be authors on this subject, Roberts has actively lived inside the world he writes about and doesn't depend upon the vicarious relationships that have a tendency to twist the truth in favor of a bias.

I believe I am one of the privileged few who was allowed access to some of the content of “Generation S” before publication. Anthony Roberts had asked me if I would endorse his new book which is to be released in the fall of 2009. I told him that I would not promote anything unless I was able to at least read some of the material. This was certainly a fair proposition. What surprised me was that he gave me more chapters than I thought he would. I actually read a couple of them more than once: He had my interest. No, I did not take the time to go and double check all his facts for many reasons, the foremost being that I did not have access to his sources. However, after getting to know Anthony more, I came to realize that in a number of areas, his bench was deep. I was also awoken to the fact that his passion isn’t restricted to discerning the world of anabolic steroids, it is to literally write the truth about the inner workings of professional sports. Anthony's other book gave more facts about steriods then any other steriod book so im a 100 percent sure that this book will do nothing but the same. Anthony calls out that people that dont know what they are talking about. Im sure that this book will be the best book of 2009 and 2010.
