Thomas Schnurmacher, author of Canada Is Not a Real Country, was educated at McGill University in Montreal and Carleton University in Ottawa. Schnurmacher, who has been a columnist for the Montreal Gazette since 1978, is also the host of a popular daily political talk show on CJAD 800 radio in Montreal.
