Brian Francis

Brian Francis has worked as a freelance writer for a variety of magazines and newspapers. His first novel, Fruit, was published in Canada by ECW Press and in the US by MacAdam Cage. The US paperback edition was published by Harper Perennial under the title, The Secret Fruit of Peter Paddington. His most recent fiction appeared in 07: Best Canadian Stories (Oberon Press). In 2000, Brian Francis was the recipient of the Emerging Author Award, presented by the Writers’ Union of Canada. He lives in Toronto.
