Morley Thomas is the author of The Beginnings of Canadian Meteorology, Forecasts for Flying, and Metmen in Wartime. He was a metman during World War II, continued with the Meteorological Service after the war and was director general of the Canadian Climate Centre when he retired. Since then he has researched and written on the history of meteorology in Canada.
